The flexible identity system was designed to adapt to a wide range of printed materials—from tiny stickers to large-scale signage—allowing the logotype to be combined and re-arranged in multiple ways. To reflect the imperfect nature of handmade work, we created a rubber-stamp-inspired treatment for the logo. This approach embraces the irregularity of the handmade, giving the identity a less rigid feel.

We built a simple Squarespace site to introduce the Brown Street Maker Co-op to the world. Elements from the building illustration were used as decorative accents throughout, tying the digital presence back to the space’s physical location.

As an extension of the brand, we created a series of designs that complemented the building illustration and logotype. Our goal was to connect the identity of the Brown Street Maker Co-op with the familiar visual language of sewing, woodworking, and electronics. To achieve this, we developed a set of illustrations—stitching patterns, joinery methods, screwdriver heads and circuit diagrams—all unified by the co-op’s visual style. These designs made for ideal swag, giving the co-op branded materials to share at classes and community events.
