Matriarchy Build’s mission is to “empower folks to take on their own DIY and home improvement projects and to amplify women working in the trades.” They hired us to create an identity system and design a website for their new company. Scaffolding served as inspiration. It was a perfect metaphor to illustrate the support structure Matriarchy Build provides. The re-configurable system allowed us to create a flexible logo that adapted to any constraints. We created an identity program that encompassed not just the short-term digital and print needs, but long-term aspirations of a product line of Matriarchy Build tools. The website showcases a searchable database of Pros, allows users to schedule a time slot to connect with a Pro, and features a blog with DIY projects and inspirations.
The Matriarchy Build website incorporates scaffolding as a way to organize information on each page. The “Find a Pro” section features a filterable database of participating Pros along with Pro bios, services list, and customer testimonials.
On the individual Pro pages, users can learn more about each Pro and schedule 1:1 Zoom consultations through a custom shopping cart.
The “DIY & Inspiration” section is a collection of blog posts with projects, how-tos, and in-depth interviews with Pros.
